Get Creative in the Creative Arts Marketplace

Visitors saw what was new in the world of crafting in our NEW Creative Arts Marketplace. A showcase spotlighting artisans and craft suppliers, including beads, paper craft, scrapbooking, mosaic and much more.  While there you could sign up for the fun and interesting make-it and take-it classes and demonstrations. 

The Make-it & Take classes were available on a first come, first serviced basis and you could sign up for them in the presenters booth prior to demonstration class held either in booth or on the Artist’s Gallery Stage in Hall 3

Gift Wrapping Specialist, Gabriela Delworth showed us how to Wrap It Green and Wrap it with style.  By bringing a small gift, Gabriela taught us great trends for the Spring – Summer season.  Learn to decorate using the beautiful embellishments or how to group your presents together to create a masterpiece.  

Ikebana & Ontario Horticultural Association:

We enjoyed interesting Japanese Floral Arranging, simple & effective Floral Designs and creative Planter demonstrations.

Studs For Your Duds

We all enjoyed fun and exciting demonstrations on how to use appliqué designs, in metal and crystals, that could be applied to clothing like shirts and jeans, as well as other items you might not have thought of before like valances and tablecloths. Demonstrations ran throughout the day in booth K42.

RECYCLE!   RECHARGEABLE BATTERIES 
& CELL PHONES

Call 2 Recycle, the Rechargeable Battery Recycling Corporation (RBRC) invited visitors to take part in their recycling program for used portable rechargeable batteries and old cell phones. Rechargeable batteries are commonly found in cordless power tools, cellular and cordless phones, laptop computers, camcorders, digital cameras, and remote control toys. RBRC recycles the following battery chemistries: Nickel Cadmium (Ni-Cd), Nickel Metal Hydride (Ni-MH), Lithium Ion (Li-ion) and Small Sealed Lead* (Pb). RBRC is dedicated to keeping rechargeable batteries and cell phones out of our nation’s solid waste stream and preserving natural resources. We were encouraged to bring our rechargeable batteries and let them dispose of them for us. Located in Hall 2 (Please note only rechargeable batteries and cell phones apply for this program).

Recycled, refurbished materials and items are hot, hot, hot now in home décor.
